My memory of the great Earnhardt occured at a practice for the Brickyard 400 three years ago. A friend and I managed to get into an area by the motorhomes where we were able to have a chance to talk to several of the drivers including Bobby Lebonte and Kyle Petty. After awhile we noticed Mr. Earnhardt walking toward us. By this time a small child had joined us.We politely asked number 3 for his autograph. There was nobody else around and we were in an area where the general public was not allowed so he was not going to be mobbed. He told us that he would be right back and walked past to his motorhome never to return. This is what happens when athletes become too arrogant and do not value the people who made them popular in the first place. I am sorry he died before his time, but all you people mourning need to get a life.He was not a family member and he did not give a shit about you. Enough already.
