01 215 16101 POLICE OFFICER (Part Time) NORTHWEST LAWRENCE REGIONAL POLICE DEPARTMENT LAWRENCE COUNTY The Northwest Lawrence Regional Police Commission is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Police Officer. The following qualifications will be required as well as adhering to the job description. *Applicant must be 21 years of age at time of hiring *Applicant must have ACT 120 Municipal Police Certification at time of hiring *Applicant must be willing to submit to a thorough background investigation and physical examination if necessary. *Applicant must be willing to submit to drug testing. *Applicant must be able to carry firearm legally in Pennsylvania and demonstrate proficiency with a firearm. Job Description *Officer must be able to pass minimum standard of physical agility to perform law enforcement functions. *Officer must be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as needed as well as make him/herself available for court appearances. *Officer must be willing to enforce all applicable federal, state and local laws while on duty and demonstrate sufficient knowledge of these laws. *Officer must agree to abide by the Police Department Standard Operating Procedures and General Orders *Officer must be able to communicate & work well with the public. *Officer must be willing and able to receive and follow direct orders from immediate supervisor (Chief of Police) and/or Police Commission members.
