Trouble logging in?

What does this mean?
The New Castle News Online now requires registration. Registration is free. To register, click the "Sign-up here" link above and fill out the information required. You will be sent a confirmation email that will contain a link to activate your account. Only after you have activated the account will you be able to log into the site. If after filling out the registration form you never receive a confirmation email, please use the "Trouble logging in?" link above to send us an email.

If you are a returning user, you will login above using the email address and password you originally provided when you registered for the site. If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot your password" text link above to provide your email address and your password will be emailed to you.

My login does not work.
If you have registered and still cannot login, this means one of two things: 1) You are not entering your email address or password for the site correctly in which case you can click on "Forgot your password", or 2) You have not activated your account - check your email for a confirmation which contains a password validation link. And if you still have trouble, click on "Trouble logging in" for assistance.

Will my email be given out to anyone?
No. The use of your email address and the other information you provide upon registration is for our use only, and will never be given to a third party for use.

Why do I have to login so much?
Ncnewsonline.com writes a cookie to your computer once you've logged in. This cookie is eliminated at the end of each "session". This means the cookie will be removed from your computer when you close the browser window. Thus, you must login each time you visit the site. However, you may check "Save Login on this computer" when logging in and the cookie will remain on your computer allowing you to remain logged in upon return to the site.
Note: you must have cookies enabled on your computer for our registration login to function properly.
