| Whenever we think that our present dedicated service for our Lord is difficult, we should remember that some day we are going to be with Him. But, if we give up when we suffer, and turn against God, then He must turn against us. (2 Timothy 2:12). We don’t usually like to think about suffering or enduring for God; however, in the Bible, most of the great Saints had to endure various challenges. When we think about all that God has bestowed upon us, and that we may be called His children, we like to believe that our lives will be free from difficulties. As children, our loving parents were there to protect and help us in all our difficult situations; however, as we grew we had to learn to accept the responsibilities of our own lives. Our Lord is always there helping us to grow, and we should accept the tribulations of this world as essential so that we can mature in His love. It is not always easy to be a child of God; but, we should have the peace and joy to know that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us and wants us to spend eternity with Him where there will be no more tears or sorrow.
