| Notice of Opportunity to hold
a Public Hearing
1. Notice is hereby given that Cass
County Council on Aging, Inc. will provide
an opportunity for a public hearing for the
purpose of considering a grant for which
federal capital assistance under the
Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Act as
amended is being sought. The hearing will
be held if any person interested in a
hearing submits a request in writing that a
hearing be held to Cass County Council on
Aging, Inc. within a ten (10) day period
after the publication of this notice.
The project is generally described as
below.
A. Description of Project
The project period is January 1, 2026
through December 31, 2025 Cass County
Commissioners through Cass County Council
on Aging, Inc. will be assisted by these
purchased vehicles.
The proposal is to purchase five new
wheel chair equipped vehicles, two low
floor mini vans and three modified, high
top lift equipped vans.
The project cost is $190,000 with a
federal match amount of $152,000 and local
match of $38,000.
If a hearing is requested and scheduled,
Cass County Council on Aging, Inc. will
afford an opportunity for interested
persons, agencies and private
transportation providers to be heard with
respect to the social environmental and
economic aspects of the grant. Interested
persons may submit orally or in writing
interest and recommendations with respect
to said grant at the public hearing.

available for public inspection at 115 S.
Sixth Street, Logansport, Indiana 46947.
