TIPPECANOE Some nine-year-old boys wish they could go to Disneyland while others long for the fastest bike money can buy.
Zachary B., 9, of Tippecanoe, had a more sensible wish, but one that means just as much to him.
"I wish to have a trailer to haul my four wheeler in," responded Zachary when asked the magical question, "If you could have one wish, what would you wish for?"
Zacharys smile shined from ear to ear on a rainy Wednesday afternoon when the people from the Make A Wish Foundation rolled up to Zacharys home with the trailer he desired.
He also wants it for mowing lawns, Zacharys mother, Kathi said. That is going to be his job this summer, mowing lawns.
As Zachary pointed out, you need a good trailer to move the mower from lawn to lawn.
Zachary suffers from a brain tumor. The good news is any sign of cancer in his body is gone right now, leaving his summer wide open to mow lawns and make some money.
Theres nothing there right now, Kathi added. He has to be checked every three months but it appears to be gone.
Zachary received the trailer Wednesday afternoon. Kathi said her son is doing so well, he has been attending his classes at Triton Elementary. There are days when he tires and comes home a little early, but he is in school most of the time.
As time passes the family hopes Zachary can continue to build his strength. Now that he has his trailer, there will be plenty of lawns to mow this summer and fall.
