Marian L. Nelson, 87 Marian L. Nelson, 87, of Copperas Cove, Texas, formerly of Erie, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005. She was born in Titusville on Jan. 19, 1918, daughter of the late Chester and Anna Swanson. She was employed in the kitchen of Titusville Hospital prior to retirement. She was a life member of the VFW in Copperas Cove and enjoyed playing bingo, making latchhook rugs, reading and enjoyed her grandchildren. The widow of Willard Nelson, she is survived by four sons, Jack Holcomb of Omaha, Neb., Ralph Nelson, Sr., Donald Nelson and David Nelson, all of Erie; three daughters, Jean Hamilton of Centerville, Nancy Swanson and husband Harry of Titusville and Carla Carson and husband Marco of Erie; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Marian was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Tobin; two brothers, Howard and Patrick Swanson; and one sister, Irene Berquist. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road, Erie, an Independent Care Group affiliate, on Thursday, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Friday at 11 a.m. conducted by the Rev.
