Trial set in July for property ownership at CLP
by Jane Smith

CONNEAUT LAKE A trial has been scheduled in July for an issue related to ownership of two properties at Conneaut Lake Park.

Concore Holding Trust, through its manager Gary L. Harris, had filed a lawsuit in 1999 alleging the property known as the Flynn House and Camperland wasnt included in property donated to Trustees of Conneaut Lake Park in 1997.

The house, along the lakefront, once belonged to and was lived in by the Flynn family when they owned the park. Camperland is across Route 618 from the park and is used as a campground for recreational vehicles.

Harris claims that when Property on the Lake, another trust, donated the park to the public in 1997, these two parcels werent included.

The Trustees of CLP, a board of volunteers, was set up to operate the park, which has since been declared a public trust.

However, Harris (through Concore Holding Trust) claims Property on the Lake was paid $190,000 by Concore Holding Trust to transfer title of these two properties to it.

He alleges attorneys William Gregg and Dana Watson made a fraudulent conveyance of those parcels to the Trustees instead.

Therefore, he claims the Trustees owes Concore Resorts $190,000. He is asking the court to void the transfer as a fraud and stop the Trustees from borrowing any money with those parcels as collateral.

Attorney Christopher Youngs filed action recently asking the court to set a trial date, noting no action has been taken by Harris recently to resolve this case. It is the final outstanding lawsuit involving Harris and CLP.

Crawford County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gordon R. Miller has set a pre-trial conference date for May 13 at 9 a.m.

The trial is scheduled to begin July 11.
