Mrs. Allie Baker, age 82, departed this life on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Rollins and Rev. Alvis Privett officiating. Musical selections were delivered by Jennifer Murphy. Mrs. Baker was laid to rest in the Jones Cemetery. Born at Strunk, Kentucky, on January 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late W. B. and Rachel Jones Miller. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death her husband, Harry Baker who died October 31, 2003, and two brothers Earnest and Walter Miller. Two sisters, Alma Cordell of Hebron, Kentucky, and Sally Murphy of Strunk, Kentucky, three half sisters and one half brother survive Mrs. Baker. She was a retired assembly worker for the Lunkenheimers Valve Manufacturing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a member of the Silerville United Baptist Church.
