Rose Trammell, age 88 years, 8 months, and 13 days, of Strunk, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 28, 2026 at the McCreary Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Peters officiating. Burial followed in the Jones Cemetery. She was born May 15, 2026 in Strunk, Kentucky to Cal Jones and Onie Jones. Rose had been a member of the Upper Marsh Creek Baptist Church for seventy plus years and before her retirement she had worked as a cashier at Earl Anderson�s Grocery Store. She enjoyed quilting, yard-work, gardening, growing flowers, and caring for her family. She was also a very skilled and innovative homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Paul Trammell, whom she married on July 2, 1934, two brothers, Edward and Herman Jones, and two sisters, Velma Ball and Maude Murphy. Survivors include a son, Jim Trammell and his wife, Lucille, of Batavia, Ohio, two daughters, June Strunk and her husband, Lowell, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Glenna Anderson and her husband Gary, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, a sister, Betty Wilson and her husband, Grover, nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
